A Pinterest Princess in the Digital Age !

As a self proclaimed Pinterest princess my opinion of the app is perhaps null and void to all those indifferent to it.
In comparison to Instagram, X (Twitter may she rest in peace), or gawd forbid Snapchat - she shines like a glittering star in the night!
Pinterest is a representation of my mind, dreams, hopes and aspirations! She begs for nothing in exchange for endless aesthetics, Tumblr worthy pics and gut wrenching quotes.
I can spend hours mindlessley scrolling its pages for any outfit ideas, room decor inspo, recipes for decadent dinners or even a smoothie. Pinterest is versatil to say the least.
Most of all I love it because it is an app where you don't necessarily have to interact with others or upload any of your own pictures. It functions so much differently than an app like Instagram.
These days Instagram feels a tad unauthentic or like a trap for comparison. We are all constantly under scrutiny and naturally feel the need to compare ourselves to what others are doing. How can we not, when we see where others are dinning, what new clothing brands they're wearing etc. It's nice to use Pinterest as a means to escape Insta's algorithm that quite frankly doesn't always show us the pictures our closest friends post. The very reason we downloaded the app in the first place.
And sure there are adds on Pinterest, just like on any other social media platform these days. But I would much rather be subjected to see an add about lipstick or shampoo verus an add on an app that often promotes things like unhealthy supplements and forces desinger products down my throat after swipping for just one minute through my friends story posts.

But I digress, the app is simply superior on the basis of this one feature: pin boards. I love that I can collect and create boards filled with all the pins that call out to me. I have boards for all things Pride and Prejudice (should not be surprising if you know me), boards for Slytherin vibes, travel destinations etc. You can even collaborate on boards with your friends. What better way to bond than by joining our combined and creative aesthetics.
Below are screenshots of my pin boards, let us take a moment to appreciate the genius, you heard me, GENIUS it takes to make these boards balanced and aesthetic wihtout being overbearing *slow claps fill the room

I've even included a picture of my room wall, a collage of what the inside of my brain looks like and my very own irl pin board:

In conclusion Pinterest is by far the best social media platform to be on. If you have for whatever reason not tried it or been on it in a long time this is your sign to check it! She is lovely, graceful and truly the it girl amongs all other apps.

P.S. Are you guys on Lapse, I really like it. Submitting her as my third favorite app after Pinterest and Spotify ofc!
P.P.S. This specific post was sponserd by my very real delusional brain rot and time spent alone wasting away in my bed ;)
And as always thanks to Jazmyn for being the best graphic designer on the face of the planet and always lending me a hand.
And to everyone else thank you 4 being here, I love you, like a lot! <3
